SOLD OUT Between Sky and Earth: Grounding Through Art & Nature

August 1 @ 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
$36.00 – $52.00

Feet on the Ground, Hands to the Sky

Inspired by the Arabic expression “between the sky and earth,” this intimate workshop with artist Nuha Moretz and psychotherapist Kate Hubrich explores the emotional space of the in-between—the moments of uncertainty, transition, and limbo that we all experience. While these times can feel unsettling, they also hold potential on the horizon: a chance to pause, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves.

Through a combination of mindfulness, creative expression, and connection with nature, practice remaining grounded while reaching upward—anchoring in the present and opening to hope, optimism, and possibility.

Facilitators:

Nuha Moretz

Nuha is a contemporary abstract artist whose work explores stillness, memory, and the emotional resonance of landscape. Drawing from her Yemeni heritage and global life experiences, her practice centers on the liminal space “between the sky and the earth” — بين السماء والأرض — where presence and possibility coexist. In her Horizon series, land, water, and sky dissolve into one another, softening boundaries and inviting contemplation over definition. Learn more. Follow.

Kate Hubrich, LCSW

Kate is a therapist and a creative who believes in the power of the art process, nature, the mystical, and community to warm and transform the self. She works to shape projects that promote human connection, ritual, the creative process and transformative experiences. Her own square, structured life is metamorphosing into something more resembling a squiggly form.
